Weigh everything that enters and leaves your farm

Almost everything on a farm, such as fertiliser, feed, grain, hay and straw, arrives or leaves by vehicle. Weighing those vehicles is the easiest way to record and check quantities. The AGRETO Dynamic Weighbridge does it while the vehicle keeps moving, so there is no stopping, no queuing and no manual recording.

Key features and benefits

  • Weighs on the move: vehicles don't need to stop. They only need to drive at a reasonably consistent speed, without accelerating or braking.
  • Any vehicle, any rig: weighs any vehicle plus trailer combination, with any wheel size and any number or type of axle combination.
  • Accurate axle recognition: four-fold evaluation electronics record and analyse the weight at each corner of the platform separately. The system always knows where the wheels are, so large tractor rear tyres and all axle spacings are weighed accurately.
  • Unmanned weighing, 24/7: no operator is needed and there are no queues at harvest.
  • Automatic net weights: drivers can log on with a radio transmitter. The system links the vehicle data to the weighing, calculates net quantities, and can automate full and empty weighing.
  • Loss control: weighing everything in and out helps you track losses and check deliveries.
  • Remote logging: readings and camera images are logged on a PC in an office, which can be some distance from the weighbridge.
  • Optional cameras: add one or two video cameras for live video, vehicle identification and proof photos.

Please note

The AGRETO Dynamic Weighbridge is accurate, but it is a check weigher for in-house use. It is not approved for trade, because Weights and Measures rules require the load to be stationary.

Installation and foundation

  • AGRETO supplies detailed building instructions and a parts list for the foundation. Formwork, reinforcement and concrete are arranged on site, and only a little experience is needed.
  • The road on both sides of the platform must be paved, straight and level for the full length of the vehicle.
  • We recommend a concrete slab at least 3 m before and after the platform to prevent wheel ruts affecting accuracy.
  • Any slope must be consistent along the approach and exit, and the platform must be built to the same slope.
  • Once the concrete has hardened, the platform is lifted into the foundation and the accessories and cables are fitted. If you use the PC software, you'll need to provide a PC.

Application

How It Works

Vehicle approaches. The driver approaches the platform at a steady speed and logs on with a radio transmitter if you're using automatic identification.

  1. Wheels cross the platform. The four weighing cells record each corner separately, so the position of every wheel is known.
  2. Axles are weighed. Each axle is weighed as it crosses, then the system adds them up to give the full rig weight.
  3. Data is logged. The weight, vehicle details and (if fitted) camera images are saved to the PC.
  4. Net weights are calculated. With a full and an empty weighing, the system works out the transported quantity automatically.
  5. Review and report. Use the PC software to check quality, print weighing notes and lists, and track what comes in and goes out of the farm.
